Andrea Keifer Owner & Managing Paralegal

A little about me….

I started my career in the legal field in 1995 where I worked as a receptionist and secretary for a family law attorney. I worked in law firms as a legal assistant and paralegal, specializing in family law, real estate, bankruptcy, and civil litigation. In 2008, I transitioned from law firms to the U.S. District Court where I worked as a courtroom clerk for a U.S. District Judge, who handled both civil and criminal cases.

In 2020, I was ready to do something different with my career. I knew that I wanted to utilize my legal skills to help others in a way that would give my life more meaning. However, I was not clear on exactly what that looked like. The moment of clarity came when I watched two close friends go through a divorce. Both of their cases were dragged out 2-4 years for no reason and cost them money that they did not have. I knew there was a way to help people divorce in a cost-effective manner.

I started CMD in 2021, and have been selecting a small group of paralegals, attorneys, and mediators, who share the same vision and who are committed to excellence. It has been a rewarding journey as I continue to create an easy and affordable process for couples to divorce so that they can resume their respective lives with peace of mind.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles although, I have pretty much lived all over California. I earned a B.A in Journalism with a minor in English from California State University Northridge. I also attended the University of California Davis where I earned my certification in Paralegal Studies. In 2020, I relocated from Los Angeles to Sacramento where my family resides. I split my time between Los Angeles and Sacramento - I love them both. I primarily attend Bridgeway Christian Church in Roseville and Saddleback Church when in Los Angeles, both of which help me to strive to serve and dedicate my life to helping others.
